Lahore, Pakistan – September 17, 2024: Gold prices in Pakistan have reached a new all-time high, continuing a remarkable surge in recent weeks. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs. 1,700 per tola today, reaching a staggering Rs. 268,000.
The record-breaking price comes just days after gold prices hit a previous high of Rs. 264,000 per tola on September 11. The precious metal’s value has been steadily rising, driven by factors such as global economic uncertainty and geopolitical tensions.
In line with the domestic market, international gold prices have also witnessed a significant increase. Spot gold prices surged by 0.5 percent to $2,588.29 per ounce as of 0551 GMT, while US gold futures rose by 0.2 percent to $2,615.80.
