This policy explains what informeek.com collects, who else receives it, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read rather than skimmed past, so it says plainly where data goes.
The short version
You do not need an account to read anything here. Our tools run inside your browser, so what you type into an invoice, a receipt or a QR code is never uploaded to us. We use analytics to see which articles are read, and we intend to show advertising supplied by Google. Those two are the only routine ways your visit is measured.
What we collect directly
Browsing requires no personal information and we do not ask for any. If you send a message through the contact page, we receive whatever you choose to put in it, and we keep it only as long as needed to answer you.
What the tools do with your data
The invoice generator, receipt generator, quote generator, QR code generators and calculators all run entirely in your browser. The details you enter, and any PDF or image produced from them, are created on your own device and are never transmitted to our servers. Closing the tab discards them. Where a tool remembers your last entries between visits, it uses your browser’s local storage, which stays on your device and which you can clear from your browser settings.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles are read and how people arrive. It records pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, referring site, and device and browser type. IP addresses are used to derive that approximate location and are not stored by Google Analytics 4. We do not use analytics to identify individual readers, and we do not upload any personal identifiers to it.
Advertising
We intend to display advertising supplied by Google AdSense. When it is live, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, lets it and its partners serve ads based on your visits here and elsewhere on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. How Google uses data from sites that use its services is described at policies.google.com.
Cookies and similar storage
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Because consent defaults to denied, no analytics or advertising cookies are set unless you agree; where you do, they are used for analytics and, once advertising is live, for ad delivery. Some tools also use local storage as described above. Your browser settings let you block or delete both; the site and its tools still work if you do, though a tool may forget your previous entries.
Hosting, delivery and server logs
The site is hosted by Hostinger and delivered through Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site to serve pages quickly and to filter abusive traffic. As a normal part of delivering any website, these providers process the IP address and request details of visitors, and keep short-lived security and performance logs. We do not use those logs to build profiles of readers.
Who your data is shared with
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with anyone beyond the providers named in this policy: Google, for analytics and advertising, and our hosting and delivery providers. Each processes data under its own terms.
International transfers
These providers operate globally, so information involved in serving this site may be processed on servers outside your country, including in the United States. They rely on their own safeguards for such transfers.
How long we keep things
Messages sent through the contact page are kept only as long as needed to deal with them. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings, which are limited to the shortest useful period. We hold no other records about individual readers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what data is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to processing, or to receive a copy of it. The site uses Google Consent Mode, and both analytics storage and advertising storage are set to denied by default. In practice that means no analytics or advertising cookies are written unless and until you agree to them, and analytics currently measures visits without cookies. A consent banner is shown on your first visit with equally weighted Accept and Reject options, and your choice is remembered in your browser. Clearing your browser storage makes it appear again, which is also how you change your mind. If you are in California, you may ask what categories of information have been collected and request deletion; we do not sell personal information.
Ask through the contact page and we will respond. You can also withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies in your browser.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has sent us information through the contact page, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
